Split prep, cooking, serving, customer care, and cleaning—or hire NPC staff when playing solo.
Deal with critics, throw shuriken at thieves, and grab an extinguisher when fires break out.
It is not just a ramen-making game — you run almost the entire shop
The work starts with ingredient preparation. You prepare soup, cook noodles, arrange toppings to match each order, serve the finished food, handle customers, and clean up afterward. Steam’s official description specifically calls out noodle texture, soup temperature, aroma, umami, and serving time as parts of the cooking experience.

You also cook gyoza, pour beer, and serve more than ramen
Ramen is not the only thing on the menu. You can also serve gyoza, rice bowls, beer, and other items. Gyoza requires watching the browning, while beer asks you to balance liquid and foam. Ingredients prepared for ramen can also become dishes such as char siu rice bowls. The more the menu expands, the busier the shop is likely to become.

Up to six players can turn kitchen roles into co-op play
Online co-op supports up to six players, letting the group divide ingredient prep, cooking, serving, customer service, and cleaning. Spatial voice chat is also supported, with distance and walls changing how voices sound. Solo play is available too, with part-time NPC staff available to help run the restaurant.
Then the shop gets thieves, fires, and demanding critics
During business hours, a demanding ramen critic may visit. That still sounds like a normal management sim. Then thieves can target the register and fires can break out without warning. Steam’s official description explicitly mentions using shuriken against thieves and fire extinguishers against fires. There is even a gambling hall where you can try to win a fortune, giving the game a strange mix of detailed cooking and very loose shop management.
The shop layout and visual identity are yours to build
Cooking equipment, furniture, storage, and decorations can be placed freely, whether you want an efficient workspace or a photogenic restaurant. The My Designs feature lets you apply your own drawings to posters, noren curtains, ramen bowls, and more. Outfits, body shape, emotes, and even noodle-draining animations can also be customized.
First-person and third-person views can be switched
You can switch between a first-person view focused on hands-on cooking and a third-person view that makes it easier to see your character and surroundings. Steam specifically notes that players who are prone to motion sickness in first person can choose the view that feels more comfortable.
