GAMES WE’RE RANDOMLY HIGHLIGHTING

Why make coffee when you can be the coffee maker? Henry Halfhead

Need to make coffee? Become the coffee maker. In Henry Halfhead, that thought is a game mechanic.

Henry is half a head with enormous eyes, able to become objects within reach. This sandbox adventure turns familiar rooms into places to experiment: what could you do if you were one of the things around you?

Official examples include slicing breakfast toast as a knife, watering plants as a watering can, and taking flight as a paper plane. The developer also shows an expressive coffee maker pouring a cup. Each transformation brings the object's properties into play.

That change of perspective caught our attention. A kitchen becomes a collection of possibilities to test, with an ordinary household object potentially offering the next solution.

More than 250 things to become

Solving challenges unlocks rooms and objects. Exploration can uncover alternative solutions, hats, and additional story details among more than 250 playable objects.

The appeal for us is having reasons to look around between tasks. If you enjoy pausing to try an unlikely idea before moving on, that structure sounds promising.

Bring a second curious mind

The game supports solo play and two-player local co-op. Official screenshots show a split-screen view with each player controlling a different object, leaving room to discuss ideas or watch each other's experiments.

A narrator responds to Henry's mischief as the story follows different stages of their life. That gives the transformations a warm setting: everyday routines become opportunities to play.
